We help businesses improve their relationships with customers and clients, improve their internal performance, and make their strategic planning process more effective. We measure key drivers and result variables, link these analytically, and determine what works, what doesn't, and why allowing you to focus on only the most effective programs, initiatives and actions and to avoid wasting time, money and effort on weak approaches. As specialists in measurement and understanding of complex business situations, we provide our clients with the information, knowledge and insights needed to pursue their unique vision of organizational excellence. Performance Improvement Potential How many programs, initiatives and action plans does your business implement each year with a goal of performance improvement? Think about strategic programs, marketing programs, management development programs, and process improvement programs, among many others. For even small businesses, the number can easily exceed one hundred in a year. Do you know how many of these are likely to succeed? About 25%, with the rest either making no difference or actually making things worse. That means businesses on average waste time, money and effort about 75% of the time on these important programs. One of our clients described his frustration with "trying things on a hit-and-miss basis" and seeing disappointing results more often than not. He wanted a way to avoid at least some of the weaker approaches. Most businesses do not evaluate programs routinely because many of these are never repeated. Even if they wanted to evaluate programs, few have any way to identify and link critical performance drivers in each situation with the results obtained. Making such linkage is rarely possible without a large number of programs to measure and analyze and without the right measurement and analytic tools at hand. Measurement is the Foundation Measurement, which we define as the process of getting input from customers, suppliers, employees and management as well as traditional quantitative management information, is the foundation for our performance improvement methodology. Today's complex business environment means that there can be dozens of important factors influencing the success of every program, initiative and action plan. You must be able to identify these factors and measure them before you can develop knowledge about how each one works to produce the results you see. We are specialists in obtaining and interpreting information from strategic, marketing, management, operations, and organizational programs. We bring to this vital task not only years of expertise but many powerful analytical tools and techniques. While measurement delivers essential information about the situation, actions taken and results obtained, it does not tell you which performance drivers were most important in generating the results obtained. This brings us to analysis linking observed results to performance drivers (along with a variety of situation variables).
